a heroes welcome when they visit the region's very
own Chinatown, in Stowell Street, Newcastle on Tuesday,
11 December at 11.30am before taking on the England

through their paces and demonstrating their deft skills
as a huge net is strung across Stowell Street.
The event is designed
to be fun and relax the Chinese team, and is being
coordinated by NCT-Network a NEW Project provider
of information on Newcastle Chinatown, who are working
with the Chinese community.
The founder of the
NCT-Network, Tony Yau said: "Although the actual badminton
tournament is in North Shields, I think most people
would recognise Stowell Street as the regional heart
of the Chinese Community and it is important that the
community shows their support".

to meet representatives from the NCT-Network, and be
treated to a meal by the Palace Garden before
returning to the Parks for the match."
The Chinese team are

"The match is an excellent
example of the growing importance of establishing
relation between China and the region's Chinese
Communities."
